Synopsis: Andrew Largeman (Zach Braff) returns to his hometown after a lengthy absence to attend his mother’s funeral and finds himself dealing with cathartic issues.
Kitty Cameos: One scene takes place the day after a party when Andrew is at his friend Mark’s (Peter Sarsgaard) house sitting on a couch with Mark and his mother, Carol (Jean Smart). Both Andrew and Carol have cats on their lap which they pet throughout the scene.
Actor / director Zach Braff explained in the DVD commentary track how the “rent-a-cats” were trained to just lie there and tolerate anything.
Final Mewsings: Cat actors are trained to ignore bong smoke.
