Synopsis: Corporal Joe Allen (Robert Walker) is in New York on a two-day leave when he happens to meet Alice Maybery (Judy Garland.)  The two go out together and find an instant mutual attraction, so much so that their date lasts for practically the entire two day period and ultimately they agree to seal their time together in holy matrimony . . . if they can overcome several obstacles to make it happen.

Cat Burglars (Scene Stealers): At one point Joe and Alice miss the last bus home and end up tagging along on the delivery truck of a milkman named Al (James Gleason.)  When Al becomes unable to complete his route due to unusual circumstances the couple help out, finishing his deliveries for him.  In one scene, Joe delivers milk to a firehouse where we see a circle of kittens lapping milk from a large saucer on the floor.

Final Mewsings: When kittens are hungry, the milk must get delivered!
