Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains slight spoilers for this film!

Synopsis: A cosmetics queen named Janice Starlin (Susan Cabot) finds that her fading youth is not only hurting her personally but financially and so she turns to a scientist named Eric Zinthrop (Michael Mark) to conjure a new elixer of youth from the enzymes of wasps.  Unfortunately no one predicts the deadly side-effects of the serum.

Kitty Cameo: Early in the film when Janice visits Zinthrop’s lab he shows her a kitten which previously she had seen as a full-grown cat.  This proves the serum works and he announces he is ready to try it on her.  Later, it is the cat which first mutates into a monster and attacks Zinthrop in his lab.

Kitty Carnage Warning! When the wasp cat attacks Zinthrop, there is some stuggling (Mr. Mark does his best to “fight” with the cat without actually hurting it) but ultimately he does kill the cat, albeit just out of sight of the frame.

Final Mewsings: With nine lives, cats don’t need youth formulas from crazy scientists.
