Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Detective Kyle Bodine (Ed Harris) has a reputation for being able to track down murderers by their mistakes but the shoe is on the other foot when he falls for a woman named Rachel Munro (Madeleine Stowe) who does the unthinkable.
Kitty Cameos: Rachel is married to an abusive banker named Rupert Munro (Charles Dance). In one scene the couple is having dinner at home. Rupert shows more affection toward two long-haired tabby cats who beg for table scraps than his wife. Rupert gives the ginger tabby something to eat and asks the cats if Rachel forgot to feed them again.
The couple have an argument and Rachel leaves the table. Rupert swipes a plate of food off the table which smashes against the wall. The cats eat food from the floor and broken plate.
Later Rachel returns from a trip to Miami and enters the house. The cats are waiting inside the door. After this the cats are not seen again.
Final Mewsings: People shouldn’t let cats eat from or even be around broken dishes.
