Directed by: Gene Kelly

Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!

Synopsis: A boy and a girl run away from a Swiss boarding school with the idea of traveling to France to be with their respective parents.

Cat Burglars (Scene Stealers): The boy’s father, Mike Andrews (Gene Kelly) and the girl’s mother, Suzanne (Barbara Laage) set out to find the kids themselves. On the road they have many misadventures. At one point Mike stops to help a cow truck that is stuck on the side of the road. Since he speaks no French, he asks Suzanne what the word for push is. “Poussez,” Suzanne answers. Mike goes to the back of the truck to push alongside the driver, shouting, “Poussez! Poussez!” A white kitten approaches him, followed by a black kitten.

Mike realizes that it sounds like he is calling them Pussy. “Not you,” he sighs, reaching up to pick up the kittens and set them down. The kittens were apparently just left there on the road with no second thought.
