Synopsis: The lives and trials of several people, including Dixie Dwyer (Richard Gere), based around the famed 1920’s and 30’s Harlem nightclub The Cotton Club.
Kitty Cameo: Early in the film Dixie goes home to visit his mother (Gwen Verdon) and his brother Vincent (Nicolas Cage) and sister Patsy (Jennifer Grey). Patsy is holding a tiny Siamese kitten during part of the visit. Vincent tells her to leave the cat alone.
Purr Blur: Late in the film some gangsters are entering a closed restaurant where a mobster is holding a meeting. As the men walk through the building, a dark cat with white paws runs in front of them.
Final Mewsings: Cats steer clear of nightclubs.
