Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!
Synopsis: Fleabag (Phoebe Waller-Bridge) and her sister Claire (Sian Clifford) visit their Dad (Bill Paterson) on the anniversary of their mother’s death, only to have to deal with Fleabag’s Godmother (Olivia Colman).
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Godmother owns an adorable ragdoll cat named Felicity. When the girls enter the home they hear a saw in the backyard and Godmother explains their father is cutting down the tree out back because Felicity used it to try to get out of the yard. “She’s very expensive,” Godmother adds as Felicity unhappily walks by.
Later when the family is sitting around a table, they watch as Felicity scratches desperately at one of the windows.
When Fleabag goes to the bathroom to get away from her obnoxious Godmother, she hears a scratching at the door. She opens the door to let Felicity in.
Fleabag picks up Felicity and pets her then gets an idea.
She opens the bathroom window and lets the cat drop down outside.
At the end when Fleabag leaves, she sees Felicity stepping through the front fence and then running down the sidewalk, stopping briefly to look back as if in thanks.
Final Mewsings: Cats do not like being kept prisoner.
