Synopsis: Eb (Tom Lester) hopes to marry Darlene Wheeler (Judith McConnell) but confounds Oliver (Eddie Albert) at every turn.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Oliver and Lisa (Eva Gabor) visit Sam Drucker (Frank Cady) at the General Store. An orange tabby cat is lying on the counter.
Drucker explains that Eb has been asking everyone around town for a loan of two thousand dollars to help build a house on the two acres of land which Oliver has reluctantly given him.
The cat then barks like a dog (with the clever use of some forward then reversed footage). A running joke in the series has various animals barking, a talent they reportedly learned from the Wheeler’s German Shepherd dog.
This is very likely one of the Orangey team of cat actors appearing in a minor role.
