Synopsis: Laura Partridge (Judy Holliday) takes her small amount of shares in a big corporation very seriously and soon uncovers corruption which she tries to fight.

Purr Blur: Near the end of the film, Laura and her champion Edward (Paul Douglas) enter her apartment after their court date. A black and white tuxedo cat is sitting on the bed in the visible bedroom.

As Laura walks around the apartment cleaning things up a bit, the cat jumps off the bed. Laura greets the cat briefly, saying “Hello, Mirabel.” The cat is not seen again.

Final Mewsings: Cats appreciate a tidy apartment more than a solid gold Cadillac.
