Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Troubled 18-year-old Texan runaway Star (Sasha Lane) joins a travelling magazine sales crew and gets caught up in a whirlwind of hard partying, law bending and young love as she and the band of misfits criss-cross the Midwest.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Near the end of the film the crew are selling subscriptions in Rapid City, South Dakota when Star finds herself at an unkempt house containing several young children, left unattended by their drug addict mother. The youngest child is first seen holding a small tabby cat.
Which he carries around with him.
The cat doesn’t always look too happy about this…
…and at the first opportunity it runs out the door.
Reminded of her own family circumstances, Star goes out and buys groceries for the family with her own money.
Final Mewsings: The presence of a cat can inspire random acts of kindness.
