Women Are Trouble (1936)

Directed by: Errol Taggart

Synopsis: Prohibition ends and racketeers are turning to intimidation to keep some control of the liquor market. At the same time ambitious would-be reporter Ruth Nolan (Florence Rice) seeks employment on a newspaper run by Bill Blaine (Paul Kelly) and causes both interest and consternation from long-time journalist Matt Casey (Stuart Erwin) who all run afoul of the crooks.

Kitty Cameo: When Ruth is finally sent on her first assignment, Blaine also sends Matt after her. Matt in turn sends Ruth on a snipe hunt by telling her to pull her car into the alley behind the police station and wait for a scoop known only to him. While she is waiting she spots a small tuxedo cat and a dog snacking on some scraps near a garbage can.
