Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this episode!
Synopsis: The travelers pass through the portal and encounter a red cloud, similar to the green one that originally stranded them on the island. Passing through it leaves Varian (Jared Martin), Fred (Carl Franklin) and Scott (Ike Eisenmann) in a swamp surrounded by green-skinned people, while Liana (Katie Saylor) finds herself in a compound of “perfect” people all in identical dress. Their leader is Jonathan Willoway (Roddy McDowell) who is immediately smitten with Liana and decides to take her as his bride, whether she consents or not.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Arriving in the new location the travelers set off, but then Liana pauses and with a slight smile turns to look back to where they materialised and watches as Sil-L appears in the familiar blue ball of light.
Sil- L runs towards Liana and jumps straight up into her arms.
The group continue on their way with Liana carrying Sil-L.
Seeing the red cloud approaching they hurry on as the wind picks up.
They are soon engulfed by the cloud after which the men find themselves in the swamp, while Liana is next seen lying, passed out, on a grassy hill with Sil-L in close attendance.
As Willoway and one of his “sons” approach, Sil-L runs off . . .
. . . and isn’t seen again until the final scenes when, as the two storylines merge and resolve, Sil-L emerges from behind a bush.
And once again leaps into Liana’s arms.
As the travellers set off once more they encounter Willoway, who after recent events has nowhere else to go.
And so he happily accepts Varian’s offer to join them.
Final Mewsings: Cats will refuse to be left behind if they want to go on an adventure!
