Synopsis: Strung out microbiologist Dr. Alexander Kline (Ed Flanders) slips a gear and decides that the best option to eliminate the possibility of murdering innocent people by using biological warfare is to . . . wait for it . . . murder about 750,000 inhabitants of the island of Oahu by unleashing a lethal fast-acting germ which he created in a laboratory. Detective Captain Steve McGarett (Jack Lord) and his 5-0 squad take on the nutcase scientist and receive some much needed and unlikely help to prevent a catastrophic loss of animal and human life.
Kitty Cameo: As the minutes countdown to doomsday, Kline visits over-emotional new friend Wanda Russell (Loretta Swit), who is packing her belongings in preparation for leaving the island. Her belongings include a meowing tuxedo cat, which she carries to the door to admit Dr. Kline, and then places in a carrier. The cat seems perfectly content when Loretta Swit covers his face with her hand.
Final Mewsings: Some cat actors would rather not be seen doing television.
