Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!

Synopsis: Budding romance novelist Kate (Kerry Fox) finds out her biological clock is ticking down on the same day her husband Rob (David Morrisey) leaves her. A car crash brings car-dealer Dave (Ray Winston) into her life and they become roommates for financial reasons, but there’s still the problem of who will be Kate’s sperm donor.

Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Blossom, Kate and Rob’s tabby and white cat, is first seen during the opening titles in the living room with Kate and the lodger Andrew (Ben Daniels).

Blossom is next seen when Kate is having a party and sits at an outside table talking to her bank manager Alan (Colin Salmon) with a glass of wine in one hand and Blossom (who looks none too happy about it) in the other.

Purr Blur: Much later, after Dave has taken a room in Kate’s house, Kate is outside calling to Blossom when Dave joins her and they call to Blossom together before falling into conversation. Blossom reappears at the end of the scene (passing a ginger cat on the way.)

Blossom’s final appearance comes just after Kate has discovered she is pregnant and she comes into the house to find Rob standing with Blossom in his arms as he tries to win Kate back. The animal coordinators for the film were Animals OK.
