Synopsis: Made for TV movie in which talk show producer William Martin (Don Murray) attempts to locate a former Hollywood actress only to uncover a trail of mystery and murder.

Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): In an early scene the host of The Early Morning Show, F.J. Allen (Bert Convy), is interviewing a cat psychiatrist (George Fischbeck) on the show. The subject of their discussion is an extremely unfazed ginger tabby sitting on a table in front of them.

F.J. asks what the cat is doing and the psychiatrist seriously answers, “Nothing. That’s one of the more interesting aspects of his neurosis. He doesn’t mew or meow, if you prefer. He doesn’t scratch rough surfaces and he doesn’t make a mess to display his anger.”

F.J. humors the man by asking if it’s this lack of usual behavior that lets the doctor know the cat is disturbed which the doctor confirms. “How will you treat him?” F.J. asks. “I’m waiting him out,” the doctor replies.

Final Mewsings: The cat knows who really needs the psychiatrist.
