Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!
Synopsis: Waldo (voiced by Howard Morris) and Felicia (voiced by Jane Webb) see their rabbit friend Pronto being chased by bulldog Tyrone (voiced by Allan Melvin) and threatened by Tyrone’s owner Mr. Wetzel (voiced by Chuck Dawson), leading Waldo to imagine he is the Lone Kitty.
Cat Burglars (Scene Stealers): In the live action opening Waldo and Felicia are watching Mr. Wetzel and Tyrone plot against Pronto the rabbit. As usual, Felicia begs Waldo to do something but he is too scared.

Waldo starts to daydream about being The Lone Kitty who would know what to do to save Pronto.

The show segues into the animation segment in which bad guy Tombstone Tyone is using licorice whips to make Pronto dance in front of the startled townspeople. Felicia is among them and hopes that someone will show up to rescue the poor bunny.

Waldo as The Lone Kitty rides down on his horse Sterling and rescues Pronto.

With Tyrone and his henchmen in pursuit on a horse drawn wagon, The Lone Kitty uses a rear view mirror and a boomerang to cut Tyrone’s lasso. They lead Tyrone’s gang into a barn where they crash.

Later, when seeing a stage coach being robbed by Tyrone’s gang, the Lone Kitty rides after them with a hearty “Ho hi, Sterling! Away!” and catches them with a giant metal ring designed like a single handcuff before taking them to the Sheriff.

Stealing the Sheriff’s badge the gang are somehow able to get out of jail. This becomes the running joke of the episode, with the gang committing every old west movie crime and ending up in the hoosegow only to escape easily from the bungling Sheriff. They rustle Felicia’s one tiny little cow, jump a prospector’s claim and rob a train, each time ending up in the jail.

Finally the Lone Kitty and Pronto ride into town to find it deserted except for Felicia. Tyrone tries whipping the heroes but they manage to avoid the lashes. This time the Lone Kitty throws the jail over the bad guys, hopefully for good.

Back in live action mode, Waldo approaches Tyrone shouting “Ho hi, Sterling! Away!”

This gives Pronto a chance to run away and Tyrone picks up the hose Mr. Wetzel was using to flush Pronto out of his hole, spraying his angry owner instead as the cats and rabbit watch in satisfaction.

Final Mewsings: Cats know crime doesn’t pay if you keep getting caught.
