Synopsis: A pre-code adventure melodrama set in North Africa with Victor Jory, during his very brief tenure as a romantic leading man, as Dr. Andre Morand, who escapes from an unjust murder conviction to find a safe haven under a new identity at the mission run by saintly Father Carmion (Emile Chautard) and true love with angelic Margot Lesesne (Loretta Young), both of which are threatened by the untimely investigation conducted by hard-nosed and tenacious Captain Radak (C. Henry Gordon), the local chief of police.

Purr Blur: An elevated street cat spies on Captain Radak and his subordinate as they enter an empty apartment unannounced.
