Synopsis: Precocious eleven-year-old and aspiring racetrack tout Danielle ‘Danny’ Fortuna (Leelee Sobieski), orphaned niece of horse trainer Eddie Fortuna (Robert Urich), persuades him to claim a temperamental Thoroughbred with which he begins to win races.

Purr Blur: At one point a barn cat crosses left to right behind stableman Gerald (Ron Brice) when he rounds the corner pushing a wheelbarrow into bay 32 at Keeneland Racecourse.

Final Mewsings: Just this very brief (and probably unplanned) feline appearance adds a deep sense of verisimilitude to the scene.
