Synopsis: In this undemanding British ghost comedy three college students — Ingrid from Denmark (Liliane Sottane) and Americans Bill (Richard Lyon) and Ronnie (David Rose) — take a tour of Ambrose Castle in England. After learning that the castle is haunted, they decide to secretly spend the night inside in the hopes of seeing a ghost. During the night, the ghost of the 4th Earl of Ambrose appears and tells them that he and the other ghosts are being bothered by Malcolm, who was beheaded 600 years earlier and condemned to wander the castle until his body and head are re-united. The trio agree to try and help achieve this.

Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Exploring the castle after dark they hear a noise and Bill suggests they turn back but then Ingrid lets out a scream as she points to something off-screen which a quick pan reveals to be an innocuous fluffy black cat.

With a plaintive meow the cat jumps to the floor and Bill picks it up.

“It’s only a cat,” says Ronnie. “Yes,” replies Bill, before adding, “a black cat.” “Well, let’s not spend all night with it,” says Ronnie, “We’ve got work to do.” Upon which Bill gently places the cat on the ground and it saunters off back down the corridor as the trio continue on their way.

Final Mewsings: But why not spend all night with the cat?
