Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Julius Benedict (Arnold Schwarzenegger) learns that he was born as a result of a scientific experiment to create the perfect human being and that he has a lesser-developed twin brother named Vincent (Danny DeVito) for whom he goes searching.
Kitty Cameo: When Julius finds Vincent they eventually go to Vincent’s house. One of the first things Vincent does is lovingly greet his calico cat, Julius.
While Vincent is feeding the cat, his brother points out that Vincent named his cat Julius, even though he didn’t know his brother even existed!
Julius (the cat) can be seen on the kitchen counter as Vincent and Julius “nuke” some dinner.
Julius is also seen sitting on a file box. Vincent moves the cat to retrieve some papers he stole from the orphanage where he was raised.
Later, Vincent and Julius leave for Texas with their girlfriends and a really bad guy named Webster (Marshall Bell) shows up looking for Vincent, who has stolen his car. Julius the cat is rooting around in a garbage can and Webster finds a slip of paper which shows where Vincent has gone in the overturned trash.
Some thugs show up to pressure Vincent to pay a debt he owes and they are confronted by Webster. Julius the cat takes this opportunity to get the heck outta there!
Final Mewsings: Cats don’t stick around when there’s trouble afoot!
