Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Mr. Walrus (Chester Conklin) loses the money he was supposed to spend on a turkey for dinner with the in-laws and has to find a replacement.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): After Mrs. Walrus (Minta Durfee) stops Mr. Walrus from killing the family parrot, he turns his attention to a tabby cat sitting nearby.
Mr. Walrus toys with the idea of using the cat to substitute for the turkey as he pets the cat. The cat then takes a swipe at him and this seems to decide the issue.
In a funny bit of business, Mr. Walrus uses the cat’s tail like a razor strop to sharpen his knife.
Fortunately Mrs. Walrus wonders what he is up to and puts a stop to the proceedings, gathering up the cat and taking him safely into another room.
Final Mewsings: Cats prefer a turkey dinner where they aren’t the turkey!
