Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!

Synopsis: Library researchers discovery that an Archdeacon named Haynes (Robert Hardy) may have obtained his title through dastardly methods and eventually suffered a mysterious fate himself.

Kitty Cameo: After becoming Archdeacon, Haynes sits in a stall with one armrest in the shape of a hooded figure and the other in the shape of a cat. While dozing during a choir session, Haynes rests his hand on the cat figure which suddenly feels alive and furry under his touch.

Later Haynes is walking up the stairs of his residence when a cat meows and runs past him. He sees a black cat scurry away at the foot of the stairs then turns to see the longhair black cat sitting at the top of the stairs. He later asks his servant if there is or has been a cat in the house and the man tells him no.

Throughout the rest of the episode the cat’s appearances are limited to meows and vague appearances.
