Starring: Grace Moore, Reginald Denny, George F. Marion
Directed by: Sidney Franklin
Synopsis: Paul Brandt (Reginald Denny) is a confident young composer who falls in love with a prima donna singer named Jenny Lind (Grace Moore) but her virtue and some unfortunate incidents create a roadblock to their happiness.
Purr Blur: In the very first scene of this film the keeper of a small inn (George F. Marion) is seen sleeping in a chair front of a fireplace on a snowy, windy night. A black and white cat is curled up in the man’s lap.
When the famous singer and her entourage show up unexpectedly at the inn, the man’s wife rushes in to awaken him and a girl comes in and grabs the cat and tosses it aside.
Final Mewsings: No one is so famous that a cat needs to be tossed aside for them.
