A Romance of Happy Valley (1919)

by Linda Kay

Directed by: D.W. Griffith

This review contains a Kitty Carnage Warning!

Synopsis: Farm boy John L. Logan Jr. (Robert Harron) leaves his religious family and sweetheart (Lilian Gish) to make his fortune in the big city only to find complications when he returns a success.

Kitty Carnage Warning! On the day John decides to sneak out of the house, his father (George Fawcett) is awakened by the sound of two tabby cats fighting in the yard. The fight unfortunately looks all too real.

The father pulls on his robe and hurries outside to throw a large can at the cats (just barely missing one kitty!)
