Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!
Synopsis: Dedicated and conscientious Officers Pete Malloy (Martin Milner) and Jim Reed (Kent McCord) have a full day on patrol protecting the citizens (and animals) of L.A.
Kitty Cameos: Malloy and Reed rush into an apartment to save two white purebred Angora cats named Angela and Domenic from being gassed to death, also saving two parakeets named Peter and Wendy. Miss Patricia Fillmore (Alma Platt), the pets’ lame-brained owner, decided that killing them was the best option since she was entering a retirement home that doesn’t allow animals.

Miss Fillmore carries Domenic to the kitchen table to moan over her predicament, and brightens perceptibly when Officer Malloy explains that the cats can be taken to a shelter where they’ll be sure to find a good home.

Final Mewsings: It would have been even better if Officer Malloy had adopted the two cats on the spot.
