Hepworth
Starring: May Clark
Directed by: Cecil M. Hepworth, Percy Stow
Synopsis: This short silent film marks the first movie telling of Lewis Carroll’s classic story. The film only exists in partial form.
Featured Feline: Fortunately one of the segments which survives, albeit in rough form, is the scene in which Alice (May Clark) is with the Cheshire Cat, here played by a real cat who is superimposed into the scene to look large in comparison with the girl.
Final Mewsings: Cats are among our earliest film stars!
