Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!
Synopsis: This episode explores the background story of Laura (Emily Browning) and how she first became acquainted with Shadow (Ricky Whittle).
Featured Feline: After work Laura returns home every night to her long-haired tuxedo colored cat Dummy (a cute name considering she’s a casino dealer). She leaves the television on for Dummy while she is away and cartoons are playing on the screen when she gets home and turns it off.
Laura lets Dummy out before she sits down to eat.
Dummy is seen throughout the episode as Laura develops her relationship with Shadow.
Kitty Carnage Warning! After Shadow is jailed because of their botched attempt to rob the casino, Laura returns home one night to find Dummy dead on the floor.
She kneels down and eventually sighs, “F*** you, Dummy.”
Kitty Cameo: Late in the episode Laura is in a funeral home being repaired after coming back to life. A tabby cat is seen very briefly.
Final Mewsings: We’re not going to get any cat zombies?
