Starring: Brigitte Bardot, Curd Jürgens, Jean-Louis Trintignant
Directed by: Roger Vadim
Synopsis: The orphan girl Juliete (Brigitte Bardot) is considered wild and loose by her adopted parents. Indeed several local men have their eye on her, including the elder two of three brothers, Antoine (Christian Marquand) and Michel (Jean-Louis Trintignant) and the dapper mogul Eric Carradine (Curd Jürgens). But can love tame this free-spirited child?
Kitty Cameos: In Juliete’s adopted home she keeps an array of animals, including a rabbit, a songbird and a kitten. The kitten is seen sitting on her bed during several scenes and while she takes the other animals with her when she leaves, she explains to the kitten that it is to stay there. Another kitty cameo occurs later in the film when a cat can be seen in the narrow road as Juliete runs away from the home of her husband’s family, first on the high wall above and then down below when Michel runs through the scene.
Final Mewsings: When you run away, forget the other animals and take the kitten!
