Believe It or Not, No. 6 (1932)

by Linda Kay

Directed by: Roy Mack

Synopsis: Cartoonist and columnist Robert L. Ripley shows film footage of his travels as he searches the globe for the wild and unusual.

Reality Cat: One segment focuses on a new breed of chicken created by Mrs. R.L. Stanford of Bradford, Arkansas. The chickens do not have feathers but a light coating of “hair” instead. As the woman chops up some corn cobs with a hatchet for the chickens, a tabby and white kitten hangs out beside her.

Final Mewsings: The kitten is really hoping the woman won’t try growing feathers on cats next!
