Also Known As: Radio Pirates
Directed by: Ivar Campbell
Synopsis: Leslie (Leslie French) sells radio receivers, Willie (Willie Jenkins) is a struggling composer, and Mary (Mary Lawson) runs a tea shop. To save themselves from financial ruin they hatch a plan to set up their own pirate radio station to promote their businesses and give exposure to Willie’s music.
Purr Blurs: The film opens with a pan up from the street to the room above ‘Mary’s Cafe’ where Willie sits at the piano composing. During this a black cat is sitting on the ledge above the shop.

Later, after they have set up the pirate radio station, there is a montage of various people tuning in to the new station, including an elderly woman with an ear trumpet to her ear and a ginger tabby on her lap.

Final Mewsings: Even brief cats automatically make movies better!
