Synopsis: Adapted from a story by Stephen King.  Tess Thorne (Maria Bello) is a successful mystery writer who finds herself the victim of a brutal attack.  Left for dead, she struggles with the voices inside her as she seeks revenge against those who wronged her.

Featured: Tess owns a beautiful Maine Coon cat named Felix who is seen several times throughout this telefilm.  We first see him when Tess kisses Felix goodbye as she walks out the door on her way to speak at a book club out of town.

Later when Tess returns home she takes comfort in Felix’s company and is often seen sitting in bed or in a chair petting the cat.

Tess also pulls out a gun she bought for protection and at one point it is lying next to Felix, who seems about to grab it.  Tess pulls the gun out of his reach for their safety.

It should also be noted that during one scene when Tess’ neighbor Ramona (Ann Dowd) comes over to visit they enter the kitchen and Felix is sitting on the counter and he seems distracted by something above.  Chances are this was the boom microphone moving into position above the actresses.

Final Mewsings: Keep guns (and boom mikes) out of reach of cats.
