Directed by: Ken Russell
Synopsis: Ex-British Secret Service agent Harry Palmer (Michael Caine) works as a private detective and gets caught up in a case involving a political plot and a supercomputer.
Purr Blur: In the opening scene a man enters the building where Harry’s office is located. As the man climbs the stairs to the second floor a small cat can barely be seen sitting on the steps to the next floor, illuminated intermittently by a flashing red neon sign from outside.

As the man reaches the second floor, the cat runs up the stairs. The man pauses a moment to watch the cat then moves on to Harry’s office.

Final Mewsings: Cats make terrible office guards.
