Synopsis: The life story of the great jazz saxophone player Charlie “Bird” Parker (Forest Whitaker).

Purr Blur: At one point Parker tours the south with a band that includes Red Rodney (Michael Zelniker). As the band members enter a small motel, the clerk is at the check-in counter with a small tabby and white kitten.
