Original Air Date: November 6, 1992
Starring: Bob Newhart, Carlene Watkins
Directed by: Michael Zinberg
Synopsis: Bob (Newhart) hosts a poker game at his house for his buddies, one of whom has just split from his wife, but Kaye (Carlene Watkins) is shocked when the man comes on to her.
Featured Feline: In a classic opening segment, Bob is seen getting something to drink in the dark kitchen when Kaye calls down to him to let Otto in. Bob says that Otto makes too much noise at night but Kaye points out it is cold outside. Bob opens the door to the kitchen and calls for Otto, then goes back to his orange juice. Behind his back, numerous cats run in the door and disappear into the house.
Finally Otto enters and walks to Bob, who pets the cat. “Come on, Otto,” Bob says, “Try to keep it down tonight, will you?” Otto then runs into the other room as well.
Otto also appears briefly later in the show when Bob is kicking out his friends. Otto is sitting on a chair and reacts to the sound of Bob yelling.
Final Mewsings: Cats love having company over.
Many thanks to Stevie Holcomb for letting us know about Otto in this series!
