Synopsis: Book club members and fast friends Diane (Diane Keaton), Vivian (Jane Fonda), Sharon (Candice Bergen) and Carol (Mary Steenburgen) reunite after COVID lockdown and plan a trip to Italy for a wedding, but many surprises await them overseas.

Kitty Cameo: Sharon’s pet Angora cat Ginsberg, who was featured throughout the first movie, only gets a brief appearance in this film, first showing up as a photograph behind Sharon as she joins a meeting with the other women on their computers . . . .

. . . and then lying next to Sharon on the floor for a brief shot.

Kitty Carnage Warning! After this Sharon conveniently finds Ginsberg deceased (represented on screen as a motionless paw under a credenza) which frees her up for the trip to Italy. Ginsberg was played in this film by cat actor Monster. The animal coordinator for the film was Alessandro Rosati.

Final Mewsings: Cats are not just disposable movie characters!
