Synopsis: Laurel (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and Rochelle (Nikki M. James) try to convince Abby to get an MRI (Brooke Bloom) to obtain proof of the screw worms.

Featured Feline: When we left off in the previous episode, Gustav (Johnny Ray Gill) realized his tabby cat had been infected by the screw worms.  He finds Laurel at a restaurant and motions for her to come outside where he shows her Zeke, the cat, in his carrier.

Gustav insists they must go to the lab right away to prove the existence of the screwworms.

At the lab, Laurel and Gustav watch as Rochelle checks Zeke’s brain and they find large missing gaps.  Gustav insists that parts of Zeke’s brain have been eaten away.

Checking Zeke’s ears, Rochelle discovers a tiny hole in his eardrum, which Gustav insists are how the screw worms enter the brain.

Final Mewsings: Cats are still smarter than most animals even with only half a brain.
