Synopsis: Unused newsreel footage from a caged bird exhibition in Olympia, London, England.

Reality Cat: Several shots of the various birds are featured throughout the short. At the very end of the clip, the camera pans from a budgie in a cage to a tuxedo cat in the cage next door.

The cat meows but a lion’s roar has been dubbed over. Since there is no narration for the piece, one wonders what the humorous last line of this segment was meant to be.

Final Mewsings: I know why the caged bird meows.
