Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!
Synopsis: Three sisters, Prue (Shannen Doherty), Piper (Holly Marie Combs) and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) are surprised to learn that they are witches and soon realize their mission in life is to fight evil which often comes looking for them.
Featured Feline: In the opening scene of this pilot episode we see a witch named Serena (Lonnie Partridge) feeding her Siamese cat. Shortly after this a man enters the apartment and the cat runs away.
Serena is murdered and Inspector Andy Trudeau (Ted King) is investigating the case. The cat approaches him and he is warned that the cat has been attacking everyone else but he has no problems with the animal.
After this the cat shows up in places where the sisters are. On its collar is a tag with a Triquetra symbol on it.
Eventually the cat shows up in their home and becomes their pet, or rather familiar.
While the cat’s name is not mentioned in this episode it would later be revealed as Kit. Kit would appear in several episodes of the series during the first three seasons.
