Original Air Date: September 17, 1960
Directed by: Jules Bricken
Synopsis: A routine presentation of Mystery Plot 7b, wherein high-powered, high-maintenance ranch owner Beatrice Martin (an irritatingly mannered, overacting Anne Baxter) hires Checkmate, inc., a small detective organization dedicated to stopping crimes before they occur, to prevent her murder, but demands curiously that Don Corey (the singularly bland Anthony George), the mainstay of the agency, must take personal control of the case.
Kitty Cameo: As Jed Sills (Doug McClure), a Checkmate operative, keeps watch over Beatrice Martin, they hear an outside disturbance and rush to investigate, only to find a stray cat literally hauling himself laboriously out of the trash can.

Final Mewsings: Hopefully the cat’s efforts were rewarded with some juicy toothsome scraps.
