The black kitten chases after and plays with Cléo’s dressing gown as she moves to sit on her bed.
There are often several kittens on her bed and two of them are visible as she lays down.
Cléo pets one of the kittens and then kisses it affectionately.
A sleepy kitten rests on a pillow when Cléo’s lover (José Luis de Vilallonga) shows up briefly.
The mother cat can also be seen in a few shots.
The kittens continue to be a presence in the background when Cléo’s friends Bob, the pianist (Michel Legrand) and Plumtif, the lyricist (Serge Korber) arrive for rehearsals to go over some new songs.
Finally a kitten sits on Bob’s shoulder when Cléo decides to leave.
