Synopsis: A Christmas gathering at Jeff’s (Joel McHale) apartment turns into a psychological battle when Annie (Alison Brie) secretly invites Professor Cornwallis (Malcolm McDowell).

Cat Burglars (Scene Stealers): Dean Pelton (Jim Rash) is upset about not being invited to the party. At the end of the episode he comes back with a basket full of kittens and hands them out to everyone.

Pelton holds up two kittens together and introduces them as Jeffrey.

Apparently actress Yvette Nicole Brown is allergic to cats so a stand-in played the part of Shirley, who is only seen from the back.

Purr Blur: Earlier Britta (Gillian Jacobs) receives a cat calendar as a gift.

Final Mewsings: Kittens are great ice breakers at holiday parties.
