Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!
Synopsis: Hilton (Bill Cosby) and Ruth’s (Phylicia Rashad) daughter Erica (T’Keyah Crystal Keymáh) moves into their home temporarily bringing her tabby cat Sherman, to whom Hilton is allergic.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Sherman is first seen in his cat carrier when Erica brings her luggage into the house.
Erica promises to keep Sherman in her room, as is seen when she is talking to Griffin (Doug E. Doug).
Hilton is left sleeping on the couch and even then he can’t keep away from Sherman the cat.
Like most cats, Sherman seems drawn to the one person who doesn’t want him near.
Later in the episode, Hilton comes home to find Sherman sitting on his couch.
When Ruth comes home she tells Sherman to go upstairs. The cat actor obeys (the off-camera trainer, that is) and runs upstairs on cue. A very funny gag happens when Hilton and Ruth then hear the upstairs bedroom door close.
Final Mewsings: And we thought cats who could open doors were talented!
