Synopsis: Police Lt. Candella (Victor Mature) is torn when the oldest son of a family he has befriended kills a policeman then needs his help.
Kitty Cameo: Late in the film a nurse named Frances Pruett (Betty Garde) is at home pacing nervously. Her mother (Kathleen Howard) is sitting in a chair petting a white cat with tabby markings.

The mother is giving Frances a tough time, nagging at her.


Lt. Candella arrives asking the whereabouts of a girl. Frances denies any knowledge but the mother is quick to point out that she knew no good would come of bringing the girl there. The kitten is nipping at the woman’s fingers as she talks.


Final Mewsings: Cats think stool pigeons taste just like chicken.
