Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Hilda Fenchurch (Faye Emerson) falls for the handsome Ronnie Mason (Zachary Scott), a man who shows up at her mother’s home looking for a place to stay. Hilda doesn’t realize that the charming Ronnie is a cold and calculating killer but grows concerned when his interest shifts from her to her younger sister Anne (Mona Freeman).
Purr Blurs: At the very beginning of the film we see Ronnie with one of his victims. When the woman’s landlady comes knocking he sneaks out the window. He has to drop a distance to the alley below, then stands up and limps away. As he walks through the alley there are two cats rummaging around in the garbage cans nearby.
Final Mewsings: Cats eat a lot of garbage in movies.
