Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Art restorer Adrienne Saunders (Goldie Hawn) thinks she has the perfect marriage but when her husband dies suddenly she realizes that he may not have been the man she thought.
Kitty Cameo: Throughout most of the movie Adrienne is living in a New York apartment with her husband Jack (John Heard) and their daughter Mary (Ashley Peldon). But late in the film Mary complains that a man has been in her room and Adrienne goes to investigate. As she opens a door a small orange tabby cat suddenly runs out in a classic spring-loaded cat moment.
The cat belongs to the family and is seen again when their housemaid Lillian (Francesca Buller) goes back into the apartment and leaves the door slightly ajar. The cat is seen running out.
When Adrienne returns home, the cat comes running back in and Adrienne asks who let the cat out.
Still later Adrienne is waiting in the dark apartment for someone (we won’t say who!) She hears the cat meowing and sees it in the hallway. She bends down to pet the cat briefly.
Final Mewsings: Cats with no name come and go as they please.
