Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: A.T.F. agent Doug Carlin (Denzel Washington) links a terrorist bombing of a New Orleans ferry with the murder of a woman and works with a secret government group who may have the means to affect a change in the past.
Kitty Cameo: The murdered woman is named Claire (Paula Patton) and Doug goes to her apartment to look for clues. An orange and white cat appears and jumps up on the table beside him.
Doug pours out some dry food for the cat to eat.
Later Doug and the government team are looking in on Claire in the past. They see her step out of the shower, looking around nervously and calling to ask if anyone is there. Her cat, whom she addresses as Ginger, is lying on the floor and Claire picks her up.
Claire holds Ginger as she nervously looks around her house.
Later Doug is with Claire when they enter her home. Ginger runs away from them and Claire explains she is shy around strangers. This would explain why Ginger is not afraid of Doug when he comes later because she has already met him.
Final Mewsings: The only time cats care about is dinner time!
