Synopsis: Demobbed from the army, soldiers Nat (Nat Jackley), Norman (Norman Evans) and Dan (Dan Young) get new jobs, going on to solve a crime and stage a concert.

Purr Blur: As part of the concert, Norman Evans performs his hugely popular “Over the garden wall” monologue, playing a gossiping housewife conversing with an unseen neighbour. In this film version the routine starts with a black cat sitting on the end of wall.
