Synopsis: Based on the novel by Fyodor Dostoevsky. Lieutenant Dimitri Karamasoff (Fritz Kortner) is concerned to find out his wealthy father (Max Pohl) has fallen for the prostitute Gruschenka (Anna Sten) but soon falls for the woman himself, leading to dire consequences.

Kitty Cameo: When Dimitri goes to confront Gruschenka she looks down to see a longhair white cat crossing the floor.

Final Mewsings: Even the cat is less catty than Gruschenka!
