This review contains a Kitty Carnage Warning!
Synopsis: Donna (Dona Speir) and Nicole (Roberta Vasquez) are bombshell secret agents being hunted by six assassins set upon them by ruthless gang lord Kaneshiro (Pat Morita). They eventually team with other agents who help them to try to escape their fate.
Kitty Cameo: The agents stop to eat in a restaurant in New Orleans. As their food arrives at the table, Nicole notices a longhair tabby cat nearby. She offers the cat some of her fish and the kitty gobbles the morsels.
Kitty Carnage Warning! Just as she’s about to eat, Nicole notices the cat is lying motionless on its side.
She warns the others not to touch their food and checks the kitty before announcing he or she is dead (although the cat actor is clearly breathing. It is likely the cat was drugged for this scene, even though the filmmakers added a note at the end of the credits saying they took every precaution to protect the safety of the animal actors.)
The team take off while the woman sitting at the next table looks incredibly unmoved by the incident.
The cat actor named Trigger even received a credit at the end of the movie.
Final Mewsings: Cats shouldn’t accept handouts from strangers.
Many thanks to Mark Murton for letting me know about the cat in this film.
