Directed by: Robert F. McGowan
Synopsis: Mickey’s dog saves a rich girl’s life and gets the gang invited to her posh birthday party.
Kitty Cameo: Mickey is left to watch his brother Mortimer and in turn he leaves his dog to watch the sleeping baby. A full bottle of milk is left on the baby’s blanket and the dog manages to slip out of his collar and drink the milk. He then spots an English shorthair cat drinking milk from a bowl nearby.
The dog hurries over to the cat, which is on a small lead, and takes the end of the rope in his mouth, leading the cat back over to the blanket.
The cat starts to drink what little milk is left while the dog slips back into his collar and moves away, looking innocent.
Mortimer wakes up and cries. When Mickey returns he sees the cat at the bottle.
Mickey pushes the cat roughly away but the cat just looks confused and then wanders out of the shot.
Mickey refills the bottle and leaves once again, but this time he sticks around long enough to see the dog drink from the bottle. He then watches as the dog once again fetches the cat and leads it to the empty bottle. Mickey jumps out and catches the dog red pawed.
Final Mewsings: If you find out your dog is framing the cat, at least apologize to the cat!
